Bartonia: Journal of the Philadelphia Botanical ClubBartonia, the journal of the Philadelphia Botanical Club, publishes articles about original research in plant systematics, plant ecology and plant conservation biology. Bartonia also publishes club news such as field trips reports, programs for the monthly meetings and the club membership list. Bartonia has been published since 1909. It was named for William P. C. Barton (1786-1856), Professor of Botany at the University of Pennsylvania and author of the first local flora, Compendium Florae Philadelphicae (1818).
